The ASCE Annual Meeting Planning Committee has been very busy planning the upcoming annual meeting. The meeting will be held in Lexington, Kentucky at the Embassy Suites near Interstate 75 on Friday, October 19, 2012. Please find linked the Nomination Form for the Distinguished Engineer Awards that will be given out at the annual meeting. We are requesting nominations for each of the following awards: Distinguished Engineer in Education, Distinguished Young Engineer, Distinguished Engineer in Private Practice, Distinguished Engineer in Public Sector, Distinguished Engineer in Government and the Robert A. Gillim Award.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the 2012 Annual Meeting.

Thanks to everyone for attending our 2011 ASCE Kentucky Section Annual Meeting on October 7th. This year’s meeting focused on the KY Infrastructure Report Card and the 75th Anniversary of the Kentucky Section.  Thanks to all the volunteers, speakers, and attendees for making this event such a huge success.

You can find the 2011 Kentucky Infrastructure Report Card located to the left. The overall assessment gave Kentucky's Infrastructure an average grade of "C" and ranged from a high of "B" for drinking water to a low of "D" for bridges and roads.

The report card assessment for Kentucky's Infrastructure is complete.  This effort has been carried out by over 27 civil engineers and other volunteers.  They worked dilligently to provide a realistic assessment of Kentucky's aviation, bridges, dams, drinking water, energy, hazardous waste, inland waterways, levees, roads, schools, solid waste, transit and rail, and wastewater systems.
